Description: Nestled on the side of a wooded hollow in the Historic District of Eureka Springs is a late 1800’s gem! The Candlestick Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast was built almost 125 years ago as a merchant home and is located on the Douglas/Steele Street Loop, which was the original entrance to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. These impeccably restored homes sit on a quiet street – yet are only a one block stroll to the eclectic downtown shops, galleries, spas and fine restaurants. This Ozark Mountain retreat provides a comfortable relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views of the Historic District and wooded hollow.

The authentic Victorian-Country setting offers a comfortable place to relax and rejuvenate. Our lovely suites have private outside entrances and huge whirlpool tubs-for-two for the ultimate in romance and relaxation. Each suite has a separate sitting room and individual porch or deck. Enjoy lounging outdoors while listening to the sounds of nature or catch a trolley to explore Eureka Springs’ Historic District and other attractions…When your day is done you may wish to retire to your suite, sip a glass of wine and unwind on your porch or deck.

As our guest you have the choice of a full breakfast served on the treetop porch or a continental breakfast delivered to your room. If you choose to begin your day with a delicious country-style breakfast served atop the treetop porch the morning meal begins at 9 o’clock with home-baked muffins and fresh fruit followed by an entree. While dining on the treetop porch you may enjoy the abundant wildlife in the wooded hollow below such as deer, squirrels, birds and if you’re lucky Springer the resident Groundhog! For those that wish a more leisurely morning we will deliver a tasty continental breakfast with fresh croissants, cheese, imported jam and other goodies to your room in the evening. During the winter months (December – March) only continental breakfasts are served.

Special packages are available for those special occasions to help you celebrate anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays or a romantic getaway with someone special. If a wedding or elopement is in your future you can leave the details to us.

Local Attractions:

Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, Eureka Springs first drew visitors because of its natural springs with purported healing powers. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, the city became a popular spa resort, and today its entire downtown district is on the National Register of Historic Places. While baths and spa treatments are still available, the city is now nationally renowned for its art and well-preserved Victorian era architecture. Eureka Springs is packed with attractions such as gardens, tour caves, an exotic wildlife ranch and The Great Passion Play, which depicts the last week of Christ’s life on earth and is the nation’s most attended outdoor drama. Unique boutiques offer antiques, fine art, contemporary and vintage clothing, bells, handmade crafts and more.
